What Sets Our Shades Apart

Blackout fabric alone still leaks at the edges. For bedrooms, nurseries, and media rooms, we add side channels or an overlapping outside mount.

On street-facing bedrooms and baths, top-down/bottom-up shades lower from the top, so light comes in above eye level and privacy stays below.

We program schedules and scenes and connect Alexa, Google Home, or HomeKit at installation. Battery motors mean no electrician.

What's Included
The Ventus model is simple: you pay for the shades, and everything from the first visit to the last adjustment comes with them. No hidden fees, no installation charge, no surprises after the project.
Motorized Shades
Most roller, roman, cellular and solar shades can be motorized, on battery or hardwired. We pair the motors and remotes, build your scenes and schedules in the app, and test every shade with you before we leave.

Pricing depends on the product, size, fabric, and any motorization.
Because Ventus includes consultation, measurement, and installation in the product price with no itemized service fees, your final quote covers everything from the first conversation to finished installation.
Roller shades are the simplest profile, a single panel of fabric on a tube, ideal for clean modern interiors.
Roman shades fold into soft horizontal pleats when raised, giving a more tailored, traditional look.
Cellular shades (also called honeycomb shades) have a unique pleated structure with insulating air pockets, making them the most energy-efficient option, ideal for drafty windows or rooms with significant heating and cooling demands.
At your consultation, we bring samples of all three so you can compare in your own light.
Yes. Most of our shade styles, roller, Roman, cellular, and woven wood, are available with blackout fabric options or blackout linings. For complete light blockage, we recommend pairing blackout shades with side channels or overlapping outside mounts, which we'll specify at your consultation. This is one of the most common upgrades for primary bedrooms, nurseries, and media rooms.
For most homeowners, yes, particularly for hard-to-reach windows, large banks of windows, and bedrooms or media rooms where scheduled operation makes daily life easier. Modern motorized shades are quiet, work with smart-home systems like Alexa, Google Home, and HomeKit, and battery-operated options mean no electrician is required. Programming, scenes, schedules, and app setup are included with every motorized shade we install — there's no additional fee for the technology integration.
Lead times typically run 3–5 weeks from order to installation, depending on the manufacturer, fabric availability, and motorization. Norman USA orders generally turn faster than fully custom Lafayette fabrications. We confirm exact lead times at the time of your order and schedule installation as soon as your shades arrive.
