Shades, blinds, drapery and shutters for Manhattan and NYC homes, measured and installed by our own team, with a free consultation in your home.
Manhattan, New York City
Wide spans and tall windows call for treatments built to the exact opening.
We measure every window ourselves and bring samples from Norman, ProDesign and Lafayette Interior Fashions to your home. For a Manhattan bedroom with a 119-inch window span, that meant one motorized Lafayette Genesis roller shade in SheerWeave 2410: a single fabric face, no seam.

Window Treatments in NYC
Wide spans, tall windows and close neighbors shape what works in an NYC apartment. Here's how we approach the three treatments that suit them best.
Roller Shades
A roller shade is the cleanest answer for a wide city window: one fabric, one headrail, nothing on the sill. In a Manhattan bedroom with a 119-inch opening, we installed a single Lafayette Genesis roller shade in SheerWeave 2410, a 3% solar screen, instead of two shades with a seam at eye level. It cuts glare and summer heat and keeps the skyline in view.
Motorization
A shade that wide is easiest to run with a motor, so the whole span rises and lowers together at one touch. That Manhattan shade was quoted both ways on the same fabric and size, and installed motorized. Our team sets up the motor, remote and app at installation as part of the service, for Norman and Lafayette motorized shades in any room.
Drapery
Drapery brings softness to rooms where a shade alone can feel bare, and it's how many city bedrooms get real darkness: a sheer or solar shade for the day, lined drapes for the night. We sew each panel to your exact ceiling height, from pinch pleat to rod pocket, in Lafayette linens, velvets, sheers and blackouts, and install the rods with them.

Our Promise
What sets our service apart
01
The team that measures your windows is the team that installs them. No subcontractors and no handoffs.
02
We bring fabrics and finishes to your Manhattan home, so you choose by how they look in your rooms, not under showroom lights.
03
We work with Norman, ProDesign and Lafayette Interior Fashions, so we can recommend whichever suits the window, the light and how you use the room, rather than pushing a single brand.
04
If a shade, louver or cord needs adjusting after installation, we return to fix it. Follow-up care is part of the service.
How It Works
A simple, guided process from the first visit to the last adjustment.
We visit, measure every window, and learn how you use each room. No charge, ever.
We narrow the fabrics to the few that suit each room’s light, privacy, and budget. No pressure, no upsell.
Our own installers hang, level, and check every treatment before they leave.
If anything needs adjustment after installation, we come back. That’s what genuine service looks like.
The Ventus service model is built on a simple promise: you pay for the treatment. Everything else, from the first visit to the final follow-up, is part of the experience, not a line item.
We believe pricing should be clear from the start. No hidden fees, no "installation extra," no surprise charges during or after the project.
